HaiDiLao – Here Are A Few Things You Didn’t Know About The Global Hotpot Chain

Say “hotpot” and hotpot enthusiasts will almost immediately say “HaiDiLao

But what is it about this business that makes people willing to queue up for hours waiting for a table?

Is it the fresh ingredients, excellent soup bases and variety of sauces?

Is it the free manicure, snacks and ice cream while waiting?

Or is it their top-notch service from the moment you step in to the moment you step out of the restaurant?

We follow our team member Eric as he visited a HaiDiLao outlet.

Then again, some might prefer having a hotpot in the comfort of their own homes and in their pyjamas.

So, they head to the nearest supermarket to buy the HaiDiLao soup base and some hotpot ingredients.

They taste the same and belong to the same company anyway right?

Well…. Not quite…

You see, we found out that the people behind your HaiDiLao soup packets, are not exactly the people behind the hotpot chain,

although they are associated and has an almost co-dependent relationship.

So, after some digging, our team decided to explore the business of HaiDiLao’s righteous counterpart, Yihai International

who made it possible for hot pot fans like us to have our own HaiDiLao hotpot at home!

But, wonderful as the business may seem as a consumer…

How is it looking for investors though?

How’s the future like?

Will they grow?

And how?

We did some research on matter and discovered quite a bit!

On top of that, we also unboxed and cooked a HaiDiLao Instant Hotpot (bet you didn’t know this item exist!)

Now, who says you can only have hotpot on a stove?

I became an advocate of money management and value investing at the age of 27 for a simple reason. Money management, investing and MOST IMPORTANTLY, emotional stability – was never something that was taught in school. We end up a bunch of workers who are taught to only work for money but not the other way around, and to treat investing like a game of chance. And it was time to change that. Being with WealthPark, not only do I have the opportunity the spread the money-consciousness further and wider, but the platform on its own, is also wickedly useful for anyone who wants to invest in stocks.
